Dear Members
At last, the moment we have all been waiting for, the return of some level of normality both on and off the field and the re-opening of all of our facilities. Your board welcomes you back but, with the lifting of restrictions we must recognise that there is still an element of risk. Covid19 is still out there we need to continue to take some precautions to safeguard our members, visitors, supporters and opposition whilst at Burntstump. So, some basic guidelines must remain in place and we ask you to follow them.
Training & Matches:
- Self-Screening: we ask all those coming to the club to carry out a basic self-screen assessment and not to come to the club or attend matches if any of the following symptoms are present:
- A High Temperature
- A new continuous cough
- Shortness of breath
- A sore throat
- Loss of or change in normal sense of taste or smell
- Feeling generally unwell
- Persistent tiredness
- Close contact/living with a suspected or confirmed case of Covid19 in the previous two weeks
- Are you or anyone in your household/bubble self-isolating whilst waiting for a test or test results for Covid19?
- Covid Testing: For your own safety and peace of mind we recommend all those training/playing, if at all possible, to carry out a Free Rapid Flow Lateral test which are currently being distributed by the government
- On the field, remember to try not to share/swap clothing. Each person to have their own water bottles and maintain spacing when briefing/talking to the players.
- Registration: we suggest Managers/coaches take a register of those attending, so, if asked by NHS or RFU following any unforeseen outbreak we can produce a list.
Facilities:
- Clubhouse Bar/Kitchen: The clubhouse will be fully operational for your use we ask all those using the club house to activate the NHS app and log into the QR codes displayed around the clubhouse. Also please use the hand sanitiser stations that are within the building.
- Bar/kitchen: when visiting these please try and stick to the 2m rule and once served move away from the main service area.
- Although not compulsory we advise that a mask is worn if the area is busy.
- Toilets/washroom: please use common sense and restrict numbers to just two people at a time within washroom areas.
So welcome back and we hope you all have a successful season, should you have any questions then do not hesitate to contact any member of the board.
Ken James – Covid Officer Chris Eggleshaw - Secretary
