It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Terry Anderson passed away at lunchtime yesterday.
In the 80’s Terry was a rugged, no nonsense front row forward who went about the dark art of the front row world quietly but to great effect. Much as Terry carried on in his admin roles that followed. A successful businessman, former President of the Sports Club and Vice President of the Rugby Club he has contributed generously to the Paviors cause over many years. When our balcony all but collapsed a few years ago and we had no money to replace it he paid for a replacement, the one we all stand on today. Along with wife Sheila and others Terry organised many fund raising events and few who attended will remember those Sunday Cheese and Wine afternoons, well not until about Wednesday!!
Terry was a generous and strong man in life and he has fought against Parkinsons and Dementia for many years with quiet determination.
He has now left us but I doubt anyone who knew him whether through rugby or business will ever forget his ever present smile and strong Geordie lilt, a most likeable of men. A true Pavior.
Our thoughts are with Sheila, his family and friends at this time.
Once arrangements for the funeral have been made we will let you know.
