The Board have met regularly since the RFU called a halt to all rugby union on 16th March. This week we held the latest meeting at the Club, as you can see, and considered actual and probable developments in the easing of lockdown restrictions.

In anticipation of July 4th being the day when we might have some ‘Independence’ when hopefully the government will lift some restrictions on pubs being allowed to reopen, at least those with beer gardens, we are having our own opening the following day. After all we have 10 acres of garden, which is looking magnificent!!

So, on Sunday 5th July starting at 11.00am we invite you all to come up with your picnics and enjoy our first social gathering since mid-March. We will be selling cans of beer from an outside bar. Please bring your own soft drinks.

It will be a chance to catch up with everyone and the great work we have been doing with the ‘Paviors Rugby Family Force’, also all the Directors will be on hand to answer any questions and concerns you may have.

We will send out more details of this event closer to the day.

WE WILL DO NOTHING THAT CONTRAVENES ANY SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES AND THIS WILL ONLY GO AHEAD ONCE THE GOVERNMENT HAVE CONFIRMED THE LIFTING OF RESTICTIONS ON PUBS AND SIMILAR OUTLETS.

This was a decision made by the Board this week and other events will be held which will evolve along with any easing of restrictions. Your ideas of what we might be able to do are very welcome. We will regularly update the website and social media on all developments and new events.

We will also be issuing important information on a Return to Rugby Training in the next few days.
