Yesterday Paviors lost a Club stalwart of nearly 50 years. Sadly Don Stirland passed away with his sons Paul and Simon at his side.

Up until lockdown ground everything to a halt Don was a regular at First Team home games. He didn’t miss many Sunday games that involved his grandsons, Ben, Harry and William either. A great Paviors family.

Don, a very sociable and popular gentleman played a significant part in our earlier development from a shed in the corner to the clubhouse we enjoy today. He ran the bar for several years and helped organise many successful social events which were enjoyed by all. He was a regular on the infamous Paris trips when a bus full of Paviors made the biannual trip to the France v England game.

He retained his energy and love for life until very recently when illness slowed him down but his interest for Paviors never waned and he will be sadly missed by all his old friends at the Club.

We will keep you informed of the funeral arrangements.
