As lockdown continues we checked our current stock in the bar and kitchen and anything that was coming within a week or so of going over its best before date was packed in Neil Kendrick’s car by Elizabeth and Di.

Neil does a lot of great work in the Gedling Borough area and he has the full support of the Board in him offering himself as a candidate to be the Club President starting next season. We eagerly anticipate him bringing his own style to the role and expect more joint initiatives with charitable organisations with great benefits.

So Elizabeth and Di carefully, at a safe distance, sorted the drinks, chocolate, bread rolls and the like and piled it into Neil's car. He then set off for The Saint Georges Centre in Netherfield.

St George's Centre is a community centre in Netherfield that during the lockdown has remained open providing free hot takeaway food on site and a home delivery service to the housebound and isolated. Neil himself is involved in those deliveries and the Centre is providing vital support in our community in these testing times

Spokesperson Tina Francis said

‘All at St George's thank the club for their huge donation of food and their great sense of community spirit at this difficult time.

Thank you Paviors'
