On Friday February 25th, reviving the close links Paviors have with Maggie's Cancer Care, a sold-out Sports Lunch was held at the clubhouse raising close to £2,000 for Maggie's.
This highly successful event featured Mick Newell (Notts County Cricket Club Manager), Craig Hammond (Director of Rugby at Nottingham Rugby Club), and Marcellus Baz (former BBC Sports Personality of the Year: Unsung Hero).Compared by Tony Delahunty of Mansfield F.M.Radio, he also introduced Ian Storey-Moore (former Forest, Man Utd and England footballer) and Ben Robinson (Chairman of Burton Albion F.C.).
My thanks go to everyone at the club who helped out both on the day and prior to the event, a great team effort which also featured Maggie's volunteers. Particular thanks to our chef - Chris Holdrick for a fantastic meal and to all attended for making the event such a memorable occasion.
