A queue half a mile long just to get in the car park, as many people standing outside the chapel as inside and a golf club bursting at the seams afterwards. Robbo’s funeral was exceptional and a fitting farewell to the man.

Tomorrow we will be saying a ‘Paviors’ farewell on Super Saturday as officials, players and spectators from all three matches will pay their respects before the games.

Talk of Dave will rightly dominate the afternoons conversation with everyone having their own memories to share. He would have loved seeing so much action at Burntstump and no small number of the lads representing the Club owe their presence to him.

David Robinson was deeply grateful to Paviors for enriching his already full and extraordinary life and he repaid us like few others. He is up there with the best of Paviors so come along tomorrow and say goodbye.

The Third Team kick off at 1.00pm, The Academy at 1.15pm and The Firsts at 2.15pm.
