OVER 90 CLUB MEMBERS TURN UP DURING THE DAY

A beautiful sunny day saw people turning up early to to pick their jobs and crack on. Much work had gone into the organisation of this year's Nat West but that first hour is hectic with a bit of hanging around which we managed to minimalise this time.

There was representation from every age group in the Mini & Juniors with 9 of last seasons First XV getting stuck in alongside them . The Club Board of Directors were all there in force and come 11 everyone was ready for a well earned bacon butty organised by Di and served up by Malk.

We were rapidly running out of jobs but our ever resourceful Mum's soon found more to do and before long we were all enjoying, earlier than expected because of the turnout, another feast barbecued up by Malk washed down with the odd beer or three.

The kids mucked in, had a few games and went home tired, mucky and happy.

We got loads done before Saturday as well as on the day and commitment from some who couldn't make Saturday to take on tasks they will pull in over the next few weeks.

A high standard has been set for next year but more important than what we achieved was the willingness of all those who came to muck in to the benefit of their Club alongside others who they may not have known before.

The value of that work was significant but that attitude and commitment to Paviors is priceless.

The work goes on all year round at Pavs and if you want to become more involved give me a shout, be great to hear from you.

Thank you
Graham
