The times are uncertain, unprecedented in Paviors near 100-year history. We could be sitting back and waiting to see the long-term effects of the pandemic, we could be doing nothing.
But that’s not how we became The Force in NLD rugby and it goes against our basic instinct to sit back and wait. We can already see the value of the ‘Paviors Family Rugby Force’ initiative born of Covid-19 as the clubhouse and ground move to looking pristine and that goes on at a pace. It isn’t too late to become involved so give me a shout if you can help please.
We are also addressing the long-standing issue of secure team kit storage and are delighted that CF Storage, https://cfstorage.co.uk/ are continuing their great support for Paviors by providing a replacement storage container. Oli Collingham our First XV Number 8 delivered the unit yesterday and we are extremely grateful for the continued support of the Collingham Family on and off the pitch. They are without doubt a ‘Paviors Family’ of great standing.
Oli is also arranging the reconfiguration of the existing containers necessary to accommodate our changing room extension Legacy Project, a planning application is now going in for that.
Over the next few weeks we will fit out the container with electrics and lockable compartments so each team can safely and tidily store their training and match kit there.
So, are you an electrician who can pitch in and cut those costs or a joiner who can create the compartments? Can you just help the project in general, if so get in touch please. There is no better place to be than at our beautiful ground, even when you are working, at this time of the year.
We are also still in need of a plumber.
Just a reminder about ‘The Picnic at the Stump’ starting at 11.00am on Sunday 5th July when we will safely gather, abiding by all the rules, and start the ‘Back to Rugby’ process we all crave and of course catch up with people from across the Club. More information will come out about this next week but as with all Paviors events it is for Members only so be sure to bring your card with you.
