We have waited patiently for an end to the drought conditions and as soon as we had some rain Roni got the pitches over seeded on a perfect day, more rain since has given the seed a great start and all those bare patches will soon be filled with new grass.
First Teamer Alex Barton, Midlands Premier League Player of the Season, has been up twice cleaning all the downstairs doors and windows and then back up jet washing the tarmac in front of the clubhouse. Dad Phil has also been up twice and decorated the kit room and gone through all the changing rooms painting as necessary. They are both back up next week to crack on.
First Team captain Doug Billam has been up preparing the kit room floor for a new surface and then jet washing through all the showers and out onto the concrete disabled access in front of the main doors. It looks great as you can see.
Sue Billam and Director of Rugby Pat came up for the second time to clean the hallway having already cleaned in the changing rooms. The shot of all three Billams together encapsulates our Family Ethos.
With the help of Director Duane Broddell in supplying materials and leaving his truck up there we have gathered in much debris and had a roaring fire reducing it to ashes.
Duane has also arranged for scaffold to go up around the garage and he will be replacing the roof to provide some really secure and weather proof storage. The garage was first built for the cricket club where they kept our tractor, heavy roller and mowers.
Since lockdown was eased the Rusdales have been pitching in big time although you wouldn’t think so from this picture!! But a well-earned break from so sterling work. A Paviors Family and priceless asset.
Adam ‘Big Dog’ Sterling was up on Saturday giving advice to Tom Rusdale on operating the new strimmer and between them they put in some hard graft and the place looks better for it.
Joy Eggleshaw and recently appointed Paviors Company Secretary and Board Member Chris were up decorating and will be back next week to finish that job and get another, not sure they know about that yet!!
Rob, Manager of the Seconds and Elliott Severn put in a shift jet washing and cleaning the balcony ready for painting.
Young Max Shaw brought his Mum up and he organised her cleaning a very dirty kit room out and they are both up again next week. Elizabeth is doing a deep, deep clean of the toilets in the gents changing room and surely that deserves some sort of bravery award!! They will be sparkling that is guaranteed.
The Benner’s were up again, Mollie Ted and Dad Matt and got stuck into cleaning the changing rooms.
Great week with support from old and new and a huge thank you to everyone.
Looking ahead we are in need of a plumber in particular but there is plenty left for everyone to do so WhatsApp me on 07817 105590 and I will slot you in.
