Today saw the start of our own Paviors Family Rugby Force Days and first in the queue were Sue and Pete Laplanche, a family with a long and significant history with the Club.

Sue is our Schools Liaison Officer and part of the Social Group. Pete, a Club Vice President, is the current Seniors Fixture Secretary and was very much involved through his role of Treasurer during the formative years of Mini and Junior Rugby at Burntstump. Their son Ben played briefly for us before work took him away and his brother Richard started as a Mini and still plays senior rugby today.

The Laplanche’s are a great example of the Paviors ‘Family Club’ ethos that drives much of what we do and where we are.

Tomorrow sees Andrew Medley bringing his son Freddie along to continue the good work. Freddie will be part of our Under 15s next year and who knows if one day he will represent the First XV.  Commitment is a massive part of rugby success and clearly Freddie has that.

The response to this initiative has been fantastic and over the next couple of weeks many families have thrown their hat in to do their bit. There are still a few spare ‘slots’ so it’s not to late for you to do your bit and improve your Club.

It would be great to hear from you on either graham.turner11@btopenworld.com or WhatsApp me on 07817 105590 so we can arrange a day and time that suits you.

Worrying uncertain times abound but Paviors will come out of this better and stronger because of you.
