Squad
We
are the under 8’s here at Paviors. We consist of me Cathrine, I am the
manager and my job is to keep you all as informed as I can about
training, matches, the club and anything else you may need help or
advice about, Our head coach is Rob and our other coaches are Dale,
David, Nick, john, john, and Neil.
At this stage we still play tag
rugby a non-contact game, however after Christmas we do start to
introduce tackling with tackle bags.
Membership
All players must register with the club in order to play in
the matches and for insurance purposes. This is done once a year and costs £45
for the first child, if you register a second child it costs £20 and £5 for any
child there after. We also register with the NLD and we require 2 passport
sized photos for this.
Your responsibilities
When training, players need to wear layers preferably as they
may warm up and cool down at various times and therefore need to adjust their
clothing accordingly. Waterproof tops are also a must as a wet child isn’t a happy
one. Players must wear rugby boots with the correct studs for rugby (please do
not buy the blade type).The RFU does recommend players wear a gum shield.
Training times
We train every Sunday morning at start at 10 o’clock we usually finish around 11:45.
Myself and all the coaches are always available if there’s
anything you are unsure about.
