Welcome
My
name is Tracey Cranmer and I am manager for U11’s. I would like to give
a warm welcome to any new players and existing players coming back. I
am a parent to one of the players and have attended training and
matches for the last couple of years. We are a friendly bunch of people
here and very approachable and would make all children and parents
alike welcome.
We have a lot to work on this season with the
introduction of a second row in the forwards, a full back, kicking from
hand and quick tap penalties. However our dedicated coaching team
will be on hand to ensure all the children are given the opportunity
and support to learn these new moves and skills. The
season kicks off for us with training and getting back to basics for
the first few weeks before the fixtures begin. We also have a tour to
York on 12th October to look forward to. This is followed by a full
list of fixtures and tournaments and we hope to continue running two
teams this season so please feel free to come along and join our squad
and bring along your friends.
A few points to remember are:
Membership/subscriptions To
play or train your child must be a member of Paviors RFC and therefore
have paid their membership fee. This fee is taken at the
beginning of the season and is £45. For families with more than one
child there is a sliding scale whereby your 2nd child pays only £20 and
any children after that pay £5. There are no weekly subs to pay. The
membership fee entitles the member to use the facilities at the club
and provides them with insurance.
Re-registering with the RFU
This year we need to register again with the RFU and so you will
require two passport photographs. Remember unless you are a member and registered you will not be eligible to play.
Clothing Your
child needs to come to training in layers and waterproofs, especially
in the wet and cold winter months. Remember your child can always
take a layer off if they get warm but cannot put one on if they do not
have any. This will make training a lot more enjoyable and
comfortable. Adequate footwear is also essential, moulded or studded
boots are ideal but the blades are not really suitable for Rugby. Your child will also need to bring a drink.
Training The sessions start at 10am prompt on Sunday mornings until 12pm and the season begins on 2nd September.
Now
the serious stuff is out of the way, lets all (new and old players)
look forward to a fun and exciting season. After all where would
you rather be on a wet, English Sunday morning? See you all there.
If
anyone has any queries or problems please feel free to contact me via
